How to select input assets for your project

Updated over a week ago

A critical element when starting each project with Shuttlerock is the asset files you provide. Whether it’s video, images, or graphics, these will be the basis of a successful Shuttlerock video design. Here are a few tips to get you off on the right foot.

Asset Types:

It's important to note that not all images are equal. Different types of imagery serve different purposes and can have a significant impact on the success of a project. Here are some of the most common types of imagery:

  1. Lifestyle: These images feature people or products in real-life situations to help customers visualize how the product or service can fit into their lives.

  2. Packshot: These are images of the product or service on a plain background, often used for e-commerce sites.

  3. Icon: These are simplified images that represent an object, concept, or action. Icons are often used for navigation or to help users understand the meaning of a button or feature.

  4. Illustration: These images are often used to tell a story or convey a message. They can be hand-drawn or digitally created and are a great way to add personality to a brand.

  5. UGC (User-generated content): These are images created by customers that showcase the product or service in real-life situations. UGC can help build trust and social proof.

It's important to consider the purpose of the imagery when selecting the type of imagery to use. For example, if the goal is to showcase the product's features, packshots may be the most effective. If the goal is to create a brand identity and tell a story, illustrations or lifestyle images may be more appropriate.

Input Asset Volume

When you submit a project, it's important to keep in mind the number of assets needed for a successful delivery. We want to make sure we can meet our promised turnaround times, and that means avoiding any delays caused by Production having to sift through too many assets. To help you provide the right number of assets, we've put together a handy table below that outlines our recommended guidelines for each selectable duration within ShuttlerockCloud.
