Freeform Annotations

Meet our new enhanced annotation tool, and level up your revisions

Updated over a year ago

What are freeform annotations?

With the introduction of our new annotation tool, you can now draw freely to annotate anywhere on the creative and the surrounding canvas.

Words, lines, arrows, circles, crosses - if you can draw it, you can use it!

How does it work?

When you receive a delivery of your creative for review, simply enter the review and revision flow as usual, and go to add a revision.

After you've selected a timestamp and a revision category, you'll reach the annotation step. All users will have access to the new annotation tool by default - there's no special option you need to select.

That's it! Simply select a line weight and colour, then draw to your hearts desire.

Handy tip! Make sure to select whichever colour will stand out best against the part of the creative that you're annotating.

You can make use of the lighter line weights on smaller creatives, or if you need to draw in a tight spot. However with the ability to draw anywhere on the surrounding canvas, hopefully you'll never run into a tight spot at all!

What are the main benefits?

  • More freedom for our users to communicate their ideas in whichever way works best for them.

  • With enhanced detail and clarity in annotations, users can be more specific with their revisions, resulting in less back-and-forth and reduced chances for any potential miscommunication.
