Project Access & Notifications

Manage who can access your project, and who gets notified about updates to it.

Updated this week

In ShuttlerockCloud, we have layers of control enabling you to choose who can access your projects, balancing security and accessibility for all.

In the “Share” settings for each project, you'll find the options split into two sections:

  • Project Notifications

  • Project Access

Project Notifications

Controls who in your team will receive email notifications about the project.

  • Only available to your team.

  • Will notify team members when deliverables are ready to review or require an action.

  • Can be updated at any time during the lifespan of a project - including when variations, formats or durations are added after project completion.

Project Access

Controls who can access your project, through pages such as the creative pages and review page.

There are two options:

  • Private – only team members with access to the brand that the project is under.

  • Anyone with the link – anyone who is given the URL can access the project.

Project Access can be updated by any user logged into ShuttlerockCloud who has access to the brand that the project is under — at any time.

Users with brand profile permissions can also set default access preferences for all new projects under a brand. This means a brand can choose whether all new projects are created as “Private” or “Anyone with the link” by default.

Note: Changes to brand-level access preferences will only apply to new projects created after the setting is updated.

It’s important to note the following when it comes to Project Access:

  • By default, all projects are set to Private — meaning anyone without a ShuttlerockCloud account (or not logged in) won’t be able to view them unless the access setting is changed.

  • However, brands can now apply the “Anyone with the link” setting at the brand level. When this is enabled, all new projects created under that brand will automatically inherit this access setting instead of being set to Private.

  • If someone needs access but doesn’t have a ShuttlerockCloud account, you can either enable “Anyone with the link” or invite them to ShuttlerockCloud with access to the relevant brand.

  • Project access can be updated at any time — both during production and after the project is complete.
